Devin has loved exploring in and learning about nature since early childhood. He began studying wilderness skills, naturalist skills, tracking, and awareness skills in 1994 and has been a student of the earth ever since. Devin has been a director of Flying Deer Nature Center since 2001 and has been a teacher and mentor to hundreds of children, teens, adults, and families. He is an accomplished teacher of naturalist and awareness skills including Bird Language. He is the author of Owl Eyes, Deer Ears, and Fox Feet, a nature guide for children soon to be released by Storey Publishing. Devin lives with his wife, Michelle and two children, Cedar and Wren, in New Lebanon.
