Farming in the Wyomanock Creek Watershed

For adults and youth alike, there’s nothing like growing, harvesting, preparing, and eating homegrown veggies.  We all eat, and so it’s important we understand where our food comes from and how it grows.  Wyomanock Farm is a small, organic and diversified operation with a mission to provide food to the local community.  We strive to do this in a manner that is harmonious with the rich ecology of our site. This program blends a farm tour with a 1.5 mile walk through the rich natural habitats of the Wyomanock Creek watershed.  Participants will learn about our low-impact farming practices, how we can cultivate a connection between people and the land that provides for them, and experience the rich ecology of Wyomanock Preserve, home to uncommon native plants and plant communities.
